Romantic brilliance meets the contemporary in this vibrant program. Vietnamese American composer Viet Cuong’s striking Next Week’s Trees opens the evening, offering reflection and hope for our world. Pianist Claire Huangci, known for her vividly expressive interpretations, makes her ProMusica debut with Chopin’s elegant Piano Concerto No. 1. The evening concludes with Schumann’s triumphant and glorious Rhenish, evoking the picturesque scenes of the Rhine River.
