ProMusica welcomes back renowned Brazilian American composer Clarice Assad as part of our Composer/Performer Project. Her richly textured Suite for Lower Strings opens the program, followed by her imaginative, rhythmically driven PLAY!, featuring Assad as vocalist alongside the Grammy-Award winning Third Coast Percussion. Beethoven’s Pastoral offers portraits of nature’s beauty, and Lumbye’s Champagne Gallop toasts a sparking and festive end to the evening.
