ProMusica Kicks Off WinterFEST Digital Concert Series Feb. 26

Tickets go on sale Feb. 15 at promusicacolumbus.org

(Columbus) – ProMusica Chamber Orchestra announces its WinterFEST Digital Concert Series, premiering on Feb. 26 at 7:30 pm via promusicacolumbus.org. WinterFEST Digital concerts will also be available for on-demand viewing for a limited time following the premiere.

The first WinterFEST digital concert, titled “Vadim & Friends,” will feature the orchestra being led by its Creative Partner – violinist Vadim Gluzman. Recorded at The Fives, ProMusica’s new home for the year, the program includes:

Mozart – Adagio and Fugue in c minor, K. 546
Mozart – Clarinet Quintet in A Major, K. 581
Mendelssohn – Sinfonia No. 10 in B minor
Vasks – Musica Serena

Other WinterFEST digital performances will premiere online in the month of March.

“When we conceived our 2020-21 Season of Festivals, we knew we would have to remain nimble and flexible,” said Janet Chen, CEO of ProMusica. “SummerFEST and AutumnFEST featured a series of live, in-person performances – and now for WinterFEST, we shift to the digital space, offering the same great music you would come to expect from ProMusica, just on a new kind of stage. Now you can enjoy the ProMusica experience from the safety of your home platform.”

Tickets for WinterFEST: Vadim & Friends are $20 per household (or 1 access link) and will go on sale Monday, Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. at promusicacolumbus.org. Details and on-sale dates for the remaining WinterFEST Digital Concerts will be announced at a later date. WinterFEST: Vadim & Friends is sponsored by the E. Nakamichi Foundation. The WinterFEST Digital Concert Series is presented by The Jim & Ida Copenhaver Ginter Artistic Innovation Fund and in partnership with Together & Company at their exclusive venue at The Fives.
