Evoking cultural connection and reflection, the orchestra opens with Gabriela Lena Frank’s Elegía Andina—a fusion of Andean folk traditions and classical textures. Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and pianist Terrence Wilson makes his ProMusica debut, performing Saint-Saëns’ virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 2. The concert concludes with Schubert’s powerful and moving Symphony No. 4 “Tragic.”
