Led by Creative Partner and violinist Vadim Gluzman, you’ll experience both the whimsical and virtuosic sides of Mendelssohn, from his Wedding March from A Midsummer Night’s Dream to his timeless Violin Concerto in E Minor, performed by rising star violinist Hina Khuong-Huu. Latvian composer Pēteris Vasks’ deeply personal Musica Dolorosa offers a reflective and poignant pause in an otherwise lively program.

MENDELSSOHN — Wedding March from A Midsummer Night’s Dream
VASKS — Musica Dolorosa
MENDELSSOHN — Violin Concerto in E Minor

*Hina Khuong-Huu will replace Sueye Park as soloist.

Hina Khuong-Huu’s appearance is made possible through North Shore Chamber Music Festival’s Arkady Fomin Scholarship Fund.

About the Neighborhood Series:
We know you can’t always make it to the theatre. Our Neighborhood Series brings the orchestra to you, performing one-hour programs in communities across Columbus, in exquisite venues like Saint Mary Catholic Church and Worthington United Methodist Church.

“Exquisite concert, great acoustics. The musicians are in love with the music and with playing it!”

“It is always a wonderful experience to be in such a beautiful building. Added to the sights, which filled my spirit were the sounds that resonated through me for hours afterwards. It was a magnificent evening. Bravo!”
