STUDENTS & SCHOOLS
“ProMusica is transforming the lives of our students by opening their eyes to what is possible when they match their future aspirations with a lot of hard work.” – Andrew Boy, Founder and CEO of the United Schools Network
musicians in the schools
ProMusica musicians, music director and guest artists visit area schools to work directly with students in the classroom. Offered at no cost to each participating school, Musicians in the Schools provides opportunities for mentoring and relationship-building between students and their professional counterparts over the course of an entire school year. The program is designed to enhance your in-school music curriculum to help further develop students’ appreciation for classical music.
To request a Musicians in the Schools (MIS) visit for your school, please fill out the MIS Request Form and return to Emily Patronik.

ProMusica offers high school students opportunities to directly experience how a world-class chamber orchestra rehearses, prepares for, and presents a concert performance in our annual side-by-side performances.

PLAY US FORWARD (puf)
In collaboration with four Columbus charter schools (United Schools Network – Main and Dana Campus), The Graham Family of Schools, and KiPP Columbus, PUF was founded in Fall 2015 to provide quality music and violin instruction and instruments to 75 middle school students from underserved communities at no cost to the students or their families. Lessons are fully integrated in the classroom during the school day with each school receiving two visits a week from ProMusica’s dedicated PUF music instructor.
To learn about how to contribute to this growing program, in providing violins and instruction, please visit our Play Us Forward Instrument Drive page.
